What would you get if you could only have one?

What would you get if you could only have one?
That was a question asked of me the other day.

If I could only have one item from my essential oil company, what would it be and why?

I had to think a minute or two. Things have changed in the 5 years since I began using essential oils. At that time, I was focused on two things - feeling less pain and having fewer sick days!

I was spending a great deal of time and money going to different doctors for varying problems: sinus infections, bronchitis, migraines, vertigo (caused by the sinus problems), arthritis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc issues, digestive problems and more. It was ridiculous!

The very first products I ordered after getting my Premium Starter Kit were more Thieves essential oil, Panaway essential oil and a new roll-on called Deep Relief. I was using those three plus Digize essential oil every day and I quickly noticed improvement. My doctor was on board and continued to monitor my progress noticing the reduced need for my prescription medications and visits to his office. That is still the case today.

Over the years, I've slowly changed most of the products I use to the clean, plant-based products sustainably produced by Young Living. Most of my vitamins and supplements come from them and my body & dental care has benefitted as well. My dental hygienist does a lot less scraping and picking since I started using the Thieves Toothpaste and my gums are in great shape. Changing over to these products was the best investment I made in myself and my future health and well-being. It really does matter!

As I thought more about where I am now, the answer to the question became very clear. If I couldn't have all the products I now use and had to only choose one, it would be Ningxia Red.

Ningxia Red is an antioxidant drink that helps all the body systems.  I drink 2 oz. of Ningxia Red every day and know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that it has improved my health. Like it says on the bottle, those daily 2 oz. will "energize, fortify and revitalize!" I didn't realize how much it helped until I ran out. Even in the short amount of time it took to receive my next order, I could tell a big difference in how I felt. Needless to say, I have not let myself run out again!

If you've been thinking about improving your health and just want to feel better, I can't recommend Ningxia Red enough! It's the best way to get started on the right path.

New Life

New Life

One of my greatest joys in life is to be able to hold this baby or play with my 5 year old grandson whenever I can!

By choice, we live in a multi-generation household. Right now we have 3 generations that live here and it’s been a blessing to have more hands on deck with this little newborn in the house.

My daughter is bottle feeding breastmilk exclusively right now. Her schedule is grueling and the sleep deprivation is real. Getting 6-8 hours of sleep in 1-2 hour increments every 24 hours is not the same as getting a straight 6-8 hours of sleep at night! Even though her husband is able to help feed and care for their newborn daughter and 5 year old son, she still has to pump on a schedule - every 3 hours.

The days daddy has to work mean nights up for momma. He takes over until about midnight or so trying to give momma some sleep time and then she and baby sleep in the living room so daddy can get some solid hours of sleep. Have you heard the sound of a breast pump lately? How about the cry of a hungry newborn?

I’m in awe of how they are working together during this time. They are doing their best to get into some sort of groove despite the brain fog and exhaustion.

Thankfully, they allow me to help!  When I’m home, my daughter will find me and I get to cuddle my granddaughter for awhile! My mom comes over and plays with her 5 year old great-grandson and we all sit around feeding and loving on ‘his baby sister!’

This is the joy and beauty of a multi-generation household! These are the moments I treasure. We all have our own lives and activities and we are autonomous little families within the bigger family household. We have our moments of discord and issues we must resolve but I wouldn’t trade this life for anything!

I always wonder why our society moved away from this and gives the raised eyebrow when you say you live together with your parents. When did ‘my kids moved back in with us’ become a badge of dishonor for them or a burden to bear for us? When it’s done right, it’s the greatest blessing you can have in a family and worth every minute
